Series history: This will be the 35th meeting between YSU and Valparaiso. The Crusaders lead, 26-8. The Penguins snapped a 14-game losing streak in the series with a 71-53 win at Beeghly Center last season. It was YSU’s first win over Valparaiso since 2000.

Notebook: Valparaiso has won a season-high six straight games. YSU has won three in a row for the third time this season. ... Allen needs just six 3-pointers to tie YSU’s record for career 3s (198), set by Craig Haese (1997-2001). Allen leads the Horizon League with 54 3-pointers this season. ... Eargle needs 64 points to reach 1,000 for his career with the Penguins. He would become the first player in YSU history with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 250 blocked shots. ... Belin was named the Horizon League’s Newcomer of the Week on Monday after scoring a career-best 24 points in a 73-59 win over Cleveland State on Saturday.
