More than $20K in accessories stolen from Youngstown man's cars

Published: Tue, January 29, 2013 @ 8:33 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — A 25-year-old city man told police he lost more than $20,000 in car accessories to thieves this week.

The man told police he had two cars, a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice and a 1985 Buick, stored in a garage on the South Side and heard word on the street that someone had stolen all the accessories off the cars.

The victim said he checked on the vehicles to find them both jacked up in the air with the tires and rims missing. A set of 26-inch rims were taken off one car and a set of 24-inch rims off the other car along with various speakers and five in-car TV screens with the operating system.

The victim asked police to process both cars because he believed the thieves left fingerprints all over the vehicles.

It's not only in Youngstown, it's all over. These fools love there rims and sound systems. My question is how can they afford to put $20,000 worth of useless stuff in the cars, cruise around all day/night (price of gas isn't cheap) but never work a job.

They can afford it because they are resourceful!
