Mooney safety McWilson commits to Kentucky

Published: Mon, January 28, 2013 @ 3:22 p.m.

One day after withdrawing his commitment to Nebraska on Sunday, Mooney senior safety Marcus McWilson verbally committed to play football at Kentucky.

He announced the decision on his Twitter account Monday afternoon.

A first team all-Ohioan last fall, McWilson originally committed to Nebraska last February. But after Cardinal Mooney High graduate Mark Stoops was hired at Kentucky last month, McWilson began rethinking the decision.

McWilson took an official visit to Kentucky last weekend and can sign as early as Feb. 6.

What no comments on what Bo Pelni said and how he handled this situation. I wonder why.

I think Bo's sideline antics probably is turning off athletes.
