Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, open exercise at 8 a.m., blood pressure checks at 9:30, bingo at 10, painting class at 10:15, trip with lunch and a movie at 11, cards and OSHIP social worker at 11:30 and intermediate computer class at noon; Tuesday, open exercise at 8 a.m., Vets Helping Vets and bingo at 10, bridge club at 10:30, line dancing at 11, cards at 11:30 and advisory council meeting at 1:30 p.m.; Wednesday, open exercise at 8 a.m., bingo at 10, pizza party ($3) at noon and movie matinee, “Mama Mia,” at 1 p.m.; Thursday, open exercise at 8 a.m., yoga at 9:15, bingo at 10, beginner crochet and monthly birthday party with lottery raffle and 50-50 drawing at 11:30 and beginner computer class at 12:30 p.m.; and Friday, open exercise at 8 a.m., trip to Eastwood Mall at 9 and bingo and discussion group at 10. Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., has planned the following: Monday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and knitting and crocheting at 10; Tuesday, exercise with Jude at 9:30 a.m., yoga ($3 for members, $5 for nonmembers) at 10:15 and nutrition/healthy living at 10:30; Wednesday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m., health screenings from 10 to noon and yoga from 3 to 4 p.m.; Thursday, exercise with Jude at 9:30 a.m. and yoga from 10:15 to 11:15; and Friday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and tai chi at noon. Monday-Friday: coffee bar from 8:30 to 11 a.m., fitness rooms and computer cafe from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and adult basketball and cornhole from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wii gaming system, air hockey and pingpong also are available. Assistance with HEAP applications are available by appointment only. Meal program is available Tuesday-Friday at 2:30 p.m. AARP Tax Help is offered 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 5 through April 11 on a first-come, first-served basis. Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, needlecraft at 8:30 a.m., community fun day at Boardman Park at 10 and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, arts and crafts at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, intermediate bridge at noon and digital computer at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, watercolors at 10 a.m., tap dancing class at noon, 500 card club at 1 p.m. and line dancing at 1:30; Thursday, Watch Our Weight and wood carvers at 9 a.m., exercise at noon and Texas Hold’em at 2 p.m.; and Friday, Wii leagues at 10 a.m., cards at noon, movie matinee at 1 p.m. and cornhole at 2. A trip is planned to Tunica/Memphis on April 21 through 27. Cost is $480 for members and $500 for nonmembers. Payment in full is due April 13.
