Top court won’t hear Dann appeal

The Ohio Supreme Court has refused to hear former Democratic Attorney General Marc Dann’s appeal of penalties for using $40,000 in campaign funds to install a security system and make other improvements at his former Liberty home.

The decision Wednesday means the $1,000 fine from the Ohio Elections Commission remains in place. Justices provided no explanation for their decision, as is the case when they opt not to accept appeals for review.
