PNC Bank in Hermitage robbed this afternoon


HERMITAGE, pa.

Police are looking for a man who robbed PNC Bank on Hermitage Road.

Police said a man walked into the bank around noon today and showed the teller a note requesting cash. No weapon was shown.

The teller gave the man some cash and he walked out.

He is white, 45 to 50 years old, about 5’9” tall and was wearing a greenish-blue checkered coat and hood.

He wore glasses and a brown hat with a brim.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hermitage police at 724-983-6780, or 724-662-6110 after 5 p.m.; or the Pittsburgh office of the FBI at 412-432-4000.

Also, anyone with information who wants to provide it anonymously by text via Text A Tip can do so by typing Mercer and the information to CRIMES (274637).

Mercer County Crime Solvers is offering a reward up to $1,000 to anyone providing information resulting in the suspect’s arrest and conviction.
