Faulkner says acquaintance punched him at funeral

Published: Wed, January 23, 2013 @ 1:42 a.m.

WARREN

Robert L. Faulkner, 67, a longtime member of the Warren Board of Education, says he suffered a minor injury to his face after being struck at a funeral on Wick Street Southeast Saturday.

Faulkner told police that someone he knows punched him in the face after the man approached Faulkner wanting to discuss something while the funeral was ending.

Faulkner told the suspect he didn’t want to talk to him, which is when the man struck him on the side of his face, causing an injury to Faulkner’s eye.
