Area students will take part in student ambassador program

More than 30 local students are preparing to travel to Europe this summer as part of President Dwight Eisenhower’s People to People Student Ambassador program. Students were interviewed in November after information meetings, receiving recommendations and evaluations from their teachers and other adults, and are raising funds for the 19-day learning experience. They will meet monthly with their leaders, Gary Reel and Harold Wilson, veteran Austintown educators, and will learn about the countries to be visited and participate in team-building activities.
