Salvation Army offers energy program

Published: Fri, January 18, 2013 @ 5:05 a.m.

NEWTON FALLS

Salvation Army is offering an “energy share” program that can help with Dominion East Ohio Gas bills.

If you are under 60 and live in the 44444 ZIP CODE area or Newton Township and have a shut-off notice, you may be eligible for help.

First, make an appointment with Trumbull Community Action Program (TCAP).

If you still need help, call the Church Mouse at 330-872-5574 and they will connect you with Salvation Army.

You will need two paycheck stubs, proof of income and family size, Social Security cards for each family member, and your most recent gas bill in your name shown on the shut-off notice.

The program ends May 31 or sooner if funds run out.

Once you have an appointment, with TCAP, your gas will not be shut off before the appointment.

Do not wait until the day before shut-off to apply.

Other areas in Trumbull County should call Salvation Army, Warren.
