At least 2 killed, 1 injured in Kentucky community college shooting
HAZARD, Ky. — At least two people were killed and one person was injured in a shooting at Hazard Community and Technical College this evening.
A dispatcher at the county’s 911 center said there had been two fatalities and possibly one injury.
Kentucky State Police spokesman Tony Watts said two people came to the state police post in Hazard to turn themselves in. He said State Police are not investigating. They held the men until Hazard police picked them up.
Stephen Greiner, president of the school, said the shooting happened in the parking lot of the First Federal Center Building on campus at about 6 p.m. CST.
The school remained on lockdown just before 7 p.m. Greiner said the buildings had been searched and there was no shooter inside.
