A 29-year-old Youngstown woman involved in a serious one-car accident early this morning is expected to fully recover, but may be facing criminal charges.
According to Patricia Garcar of Youngstown police, Latoya Martin, 29, of Philadelphia Avenue, lost control of her car on U.S. Route 422 near the Madison Avenue Expressway shortly after 1 a.m., hitting a guardrail and flipping the car over. Martin was ejected from the car.
Police are still investigating and looking to speak with Martin who is still in hospital care, but awake and alert.
Garcar said Martin was driving without a license, currently under 17 driving suspensions. She said charges against Martin for driving under suspension, failure to wear a seat belt and failure to control are all pending.
