A Mahoning County grand jury handed up indictments Thursday against four Youngstown men accused in an armed-robbery ring.
The four — Shaquil Brown, 19; James Woods, 18; Charles Walker, 18; and Tyrone Freeman, 19 — are all charged with engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, five counts of aggravated robbery, one count of robbery and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon with firearm specifications for five of the counts.
They’re accused of robbing Family Dollar stores on Market Street and South Avenue in Boardman; twice robbing a Family Dollar on Market Street in Youngstown; and robbing a Subway restaurant in Youngstown.
Police say guns and knives were used during the robberies.
Four juveniles also have been charged in the robbery ring, police said.
