Youngstown police still looking for Subway robber

Published: Thu, January 10, 2013 @ 7:40 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are still looking for the man who robbed a West Side Subway restaurant using a knife earlier this week.

Police reports say a 6- foot-tall black male, weighing about 160 pounds and wearing a gray hoodie and fingerless gloves went into the Subway restaurant at 3212 Mahoning Ave. at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, pulled a knife on the employee behind the counter and demanded money.

The employee opened the cash register and the robber took the drawer and ran out of the store. Police searched the area, but could not find the man.

Wow Lifes2Short isnt that just a little mean spirited? Some people get scared at the sight of a knife and just don't give very good descriptions. The article does not say if the employee was male or female. My guess is female because these spineless thugs often target female employees. I work retail and I'm waiting for some clown with a knife try and rob my store. I won't have to provide a description, the coroner will identify the bum later.

Chill skippy, was a sarcastic remark. No more, no less. Wasn't about the employee or whatnot, it was a shot at the media and when they fill like putting out a description.
