YOUNGSTOWN — Police are looking for a blue Chevrolet Impala involved in an afternoon hit/skip accident that sent one pedestrian to the hospital and a pickup truck into the side of a house.

According to police, the Impala and truck were traveling in opposite directions near the intersection of Ravenwood and Firnley avenues on the South Side just after 1 p.m. today when the car hit the truck, causing the truck to hit an unidentified pedestrian and then hit the house.

The driver of the Impala took off after the accident, but did leave behind a grill and headlight.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with what is believed to be a broken leg, police said.
