Molotov cocktail thrown at house

A 65-year-old Comstock Street Northeast man reported that someone threw a Molotov cocktail-type of arson device at the front of his house, hitting just below the window and landing on the porch at 10:45 p.m. Friday.

The man extinguished the fire, reducing the damage to just scorch marks on the brick veneer on the house, said Ken Nussle, Warren fire chief.

Firefighters found a burnt rag smelling like gasoline with remnants of a glass bottle under the window.
