Fire rips through Rogers home, cause under investigation

Published: Mon, January 7, 2013 @ 9:12 p.m.

ROGERS — A house was deemed a total loss tonight after a fire ripped through it.

Fire officials are continuing to investigate the blaze at 46224 Walnut St. that broke out just after 5:06 p.m. today. Fire crews from Negley, Rogers, East Palestine, Lisbon and New Waterford responded.

A passing motorist saw the garage on fire and stopped, knocked on the door and informed the occupants about the fire, firefighters said.

Everyone was able to get out safely and the American Red Cross was called to assist the family. The cause remains under investigation.
