A 15-year-old boy faces felonious-assault charges, accused of putting a butcher knife to the throat of his 16-year-old girlfriend just after midnight New Year’s Day.
Bryan A. Rivera was taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center in Youngstown about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday after officers responded to the incident at a Compass West Drive apartment complex, according to records.
Police said Rivera choked and punched his girlfriend several times. The girl declined medical treatment, reports stated.

And his parents were charged with ?????? 12:30am--15-years old w/16-year old girlfriend and where were the parents of this future criminal. What about curfew. Lots of unanswered questions and lack of charges against the parents is why the criminals start so young nowadays. If I would have done this in my youth my parents would be hauled off to the clink!!! no questions asked.
I am sure we will hear more of Mr Rivera in the future.

You got that right. Remember the name.
Bryan A. Rivera
Of course, somehow there going to blame the girlfriend or someone else.
She probably made a resolution to get herself a better boyfriend and he didn't like what he heard. I agree, the parents should be held accountable.
Mr. Rivera must not be a member of a family with much political or social pull in Mahoning County..After all if he was then his name definately would not have been released to be printed in the Vindy.
This is why 15 & 16 year olds shouldn't be thought of as adults. They need supervision even if the parents want to party.
