Firefighters are investigating a blaze that gutted the Knights of Columbus Hall Tuesday morning.

According to reports, a police officer on patrol near Center Street spotted flames shooting through the roof shortly after 6 a.m.

Mike Agnone, an engineer with the fire department, said crews were on scene within minutes, With the help of the Campbell Fire Department, the fire was contained after 90 minutes, said Agnone.

He said no one was injured during the fire, but the building was completely gutted. Agnone said there was a New Year’s Eve party the night before, but foul play is not suspected.
