WARREN

Police continue to investigate three recent shootings, but they are getting little cooperation from two men, both of whom suffered gunshot wounds to the leg about the same time Monday afternoon.

Khiry J. Taylor, 20, of Idylwild Street Northeast, was shot in the leg about 2:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Idylwild, police said.

Antonio L. Dukes, 25, of Brier Street Southeast, meanwhile, showed up at St. Joseph Health Center at 3:08 p.m. with a gunshot wound of the leg.

Dukes said an unknown person shot him in the leg while he was jogging in the area of Milton, Brier and Burton streets Southeast.

Police are investigating to determine whether the two shootings are related, but neither victim is cooperating, detectives said, adding that neither man appears to have life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, Desmond Talley, 35, of West Park Drive Southwest, reported being shot in the groin by a female at 7:02 a.m. Friday at the woman’s home on Garden Street Northwest, but police have not yet been able to interview Talley.

In another matter, police were called to 405 Washington St. NW at 5:56 p.m. Monday for a 51-year-old woman who reported her child’s father threatened her with a knife, then cut himself.

The man, also 51 and also of the Washington Street address, was taken to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for a psychological evaluation and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

Ya think they want see all the babies daddies go to jail. What a country. The babbies daddy goes to jail, and the governmet takes care of them. Then the babbies and momas get the other support from the government. I thought Lincoln freed the slaves from forced slavery. I guess it is alright if a group of people self inflict themselves with a form of control that is beyond their control. Sounds like slavery to me. When will another leader like Dr King emerge to lead by example?

Its funny how they always complain that we ignore this group of people (for over 100 yrs now) but when you try to help them they clam up. Do you wonder why? Its because because they are shiftless idiots and if the police are involved it might draw attention to them!!! Let the cockroaches kill themselves and get these idiots off the gov't payroll and let them survive like normal people do. WORK!!! but thats a real 4-letter word to cockroaches
