Cops: Grandma shot self, young grandsons in car
PRESTON, Conn. (AP) — The staff at a Connecticut daycare center where a woman picked up her two grandsons before apparently killing them in a double murder-suicide says she gave no signs of distress.
Center director Nikki Salaun says Debra Denison was friendly and talkative when she arrived Tuesday afternoon to collect 2-year-old Alton Perry and 6-month-old Ashton Perry.
The bodies of Denison and the two children were later found with gunshot wounds in a car in the neighboring town of Preston. Family members say Denison had a history of mental health problems.
The staff at the Kidds & Co. daycare center in North Stonington says Denison was on the list of people authorized to pick up the children.
A state police spokeswoman says Denison left a suicide note but declined to say where it was found.

A history of mental problems and she had a gun. We've got to get a handle on who can own guns in this country and who can't.
why in hell wasn't this woman on medication??
She has her 2nd Amendment right to a gun. We must not take that away from anybody. Infact, even the kids have a RIGHT to "bare Arms".
According to the NRA and progunners, NO laws should prevent felons, kids, or mentally ill from owning a gun.
We do not know if she owned the gun legally or if it was even hers.I am progun and I dont think felons or the mentally ill should own guns.So not all gun owners feel that way.Lets wait til we get the whole story before pointing fingers at anybody
Would it make you feel better if she would have stabbed the kids instead? Maybe the question should be why did the parents or parent allow a person with a history of mental problems to be alone with their children.
