Library will feature Discover Antarctica

Mike and Karen Little of Leetonia will present “Discover Antarctica” at 6:15 p.m. March 5 at Leetonia Public Library, 181 Walnut St.

They will discuss their recent visit when they spent a week talking to polar scientists, attending lectures and studying the geology and early exploration of the area.

After a short introduction, a film will be shown about a family who sailed to the Palmer Peninsula on the northern coast of Antarctica.

Mr. Little is a retired science teacher and worked for several years as a naturalist for the National Park Service, received several National Science Grants and has done research in global climate change.

Ages 12 and older are encouraged to attend.

Door prizes will be given.
