Boy, 2, shot in face at home, critical

ISABELLA, Pa. (AP) — A 2-year-old boy has been shot in the face at a gathering at a western Pennsylvania home and was flown to a hospital in critical but stable condition.

Troopers from the Belle Vernon state police barracks say the boy, Owen Harris, was shot shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday.

Police have not said whether anyone was involved in or being charged with the shooting, or whether the boy somehow shot himself.

The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

The shooting occurred in Luzerne Township, Fayette County, about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh.

We need more guns. Come on NRA, step up. Fight for this boys life.

We need more guns..

It is so sad when innocent little children are injured or killed from weapons that are not kept away from the children.

How come when a parent drinks and drives with their children in the car and has a fatal accident its the parents fault but when a child gets hold of a gun because of an irresponsible parent its the guns fault?

There was not much of an outcry when the very young Jessica Ballew was gunned down on June 11, 1996. She died on her front porch here in Youngstown. Later governor Strickland pardoned her killer from his death sentence.

Why are people so frigging stupid with their guns?

Judging by the comments it's not the people that are stupid and irresponsible it's the guns. I've had one locked in my safe and the evil thing keeps wanting to jump out and shoot people all on its own. not really it just sits there and I keep it locked up and away from kids.
