Black History show to be at Method 8

Method 8 Studio, 4800 Market St., second floor, will have Henry Garden narrate his book “The Slave Ship Atlantic,” at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 4 p.m. Sunday. Garden also is an accomplished pencil artist, and his art will be available for a donation.

There also will be a short play about a slave back from the grave observing the present state of the African-American culture. The program will include singing, poetry and visual arts.

Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door and will benefit the programs for African-American arts. Purchase tickets at the studio from noon to 4 p.m. through Thursday and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
