Boardman woman charged with stealing wallet at church

Published: Tue, February 12, 2013 @ 11:21 p.m.

BOARDMAN

A 52-year-old Boardman woman accused of stealing another woman’s wallet at a local church was arraigned Tuesday.

Lauren Hanlon is charged with identity theft, receiving stolen property and forgery, all felonies. Police say they believe Hanlon took the wallet Dec. 20 during an event at Evangel Baptist Church. The wallet contained a church credit card and the victim’s personal credit card, which had unauthorized charges from Walmart, a gas station and McDonald’s.

Police arrested Hanlon on Monday at her Alburn Drive residence, where she was hiding under a blanket in her bedroom.

True Scum. This woman recently got out of jail (6 months) and the copper piping from her apartment (they had the only key) was stolen while the place was locked and secured. Some people never learn. Too bad they released her. Wallet stolen from a church? Wow.
