County building official gets a nice raise

Youngstown

The Mahoning County Commissioners have raised the salary of the counties chief building official from $61,701 to 72,563 annually, effective this coming Sunday.

The commissioners raised the salary of Jeff Uroseva to the same level as that of Brenda Williams, who served as Youngstown’s chief building official before the city and county building inspection departments merged last month, said Rachel Livengood, county human resources director.

Uroseva is now in charge of all building inspection in Mahoning county and he said his office will be busy because of the ongoing expansion of V&M Star, the construction of the Austintown Racino that will open next year, and many other major construction projects.

All I have to say is, WHY the pay raise?. Most companies combine jobs almost daily without a major raise for the employess invloved.
