Luncheon series features organist
Vic Marsilio will be the featured entertainer at a unique Sundays at Stambaugh series event Sunday beginning at 12:15 p.m.
After a lunch provided by the Fifth Season on the concert hall stage, Marsilio will perform Valentine’s Day songs on the hall’s pipe organ.
Marsilio is the owner of Victor Organ of Austintown and is the organist at Holy Family church in Lowellville.
He has restored the Wurlitzer organ that was in the old Palace Theatre, downtown.

Polish carnival at Magic Tree
Ostatki: A Polish Carnival Celebration will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Magic Tree, 7463 South Ave.
Sponsored by Zywiec Beer and Vesica vodka, this Slavic-inspired pre-Lenten party includes samples of elite vodkas and Polish beers — imported for the event — complemented with a Polish gourmet buffet, music, dancing, a trivia contest and a paczki parade and prizes.
The annual vodka cocktail contest, sponsored by Vesica, is open to amateur and pro bartenders.
New this year will be wine, homemade vodka infusions from last year’s class and a beer talk and taste with Rust Belt Brewery’s brewmaster, in preparation for the brewing of Polish Youngstown’s custom beer, Polonia, later this year.

New Amici Trio concert at YSU
The New Amici Trio, with guest artist Cicilia Yudha, a faculty pianist at the Dana School of Music, will give a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in Bliss Recital Hall, inside Bliss Hall, on the Youngstown State University campus. Rounding out the New Amici Trio will be Hristo Popov, violinist, and Michael Gelfand, cellist.
Sara Churchill, an information services librarian, will be guest speaker at the Feb. 18 Monday Night Writers meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. at Peaberry’s Cafe, 4350 Boardman-Canfield Road.
