Charges dismissed in Struthers theft case
Charges have been dismissed against one of two people charged in the theft of thousands of dollars from the Struthers Little Wildcats football organization.
Jamie Depascale, 28, of Sexton Street in Struthers made restitution of $1,900 to the organization, and a charge of complicity to theft was dismissed at her arraignment Wednesday, according to Struthers Municipal Court.
Lisa Farkas, 42, of Canterbury Lane in Boardman still is charged with six counts of theft over $2,500 in checks.
She will appear in court for a pretrial hearing at 10:15 a.m. March 5.
The McDonald’s restaurant on McCartney Road was robbed over the weekend, police reported.
Police were called to the restaurant about 11:50 p.m. Saturday after employees who went out the back entrance to take out trash were confronted by two men with guns. They ordered employees to give them their cellphones, made employees go into a bathroom and took $1,500 from the safe, a police report says.
