D.A.R.E. Singles will sponsor a game night/card night at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at Lane Family Funeral Home’s event center, 8387 Tod Ave., one block north of Boardman YMCA. St. Nicholas School will sponsor Night at the Races with a Touch of Vegas on Saturday at the Great Hall, 766 Fifth St., Struthers. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and races begin at 7. Admission is free. There will be refreshments and food, quarter draft, door prizes, Black Jack, two card draw and a Texas Hold’em Tournament, which will be in the lower church at 4 p.m. There is a $40 buy-in, 25 percent rake and $10 add-on $1,000 extra chips. Top players win the cash prize. Admission is for adults 21 and over.


St. Luke Church, 5225 South Ave., Boardman, will sponsor its third annual Mardi Gras beer taste at 6 p.m. Saturday at its banquet hall. Doors open at 5:30. Boardman Rotary Relay For Life Team is sponsoring a Feb. 16 bus trip to Rivers Casino to benefit the American Cancer Society. The cost is $30 and includes $20 in free play and a $5 food voucher. The bus will leave from behind St. Nicholas Hall in Struthers at 11 a.m. and return at 7 p.m. Checks should be made payable to Boardman Rotary Relay For Life Team and mailed to Jeff Janci, 3170 Highland Ave., Poland, OH 44514. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and are not refundable.

Relay for Life Team Rachel is sponsoring a trip to Mountaineer on March 23. The bus will depart at 10 a.m. from the parking lot of St. Edward Church, 240 Tod Lane, Youngstown. Boarding will begin at 9:30. The bus will leave Mountaineer at 4 p.m. and arrive at the church around 5. Cost per person is $30.
