I'm surprised that more people are not killed by cars in Youngstown. It seems the "Cool" thing to do in the city is to walk on the street and not on the sidewalk. I lived on the Southside for over 20 years, and had many close calls with pedestrians who were walking in the street and wearing dark clothing.
So sorry to the family & friends for their loss. As a victim of a hit & run, while crossing the street in a marked crosswalk, with the green light. In BROAD DAYLIGHT, car turned on to the road & struck me & yes took off. They caught her, I pray they catch who ever did this!!
Prayers for the family,.... Now Youngstown start enforcing side walk snow removal , forcing people to walk in the plowed street , Ive seen alot of handicap with their scooters forced to the street because of the sidewalks.
