Poland musicians earn top ratings

Members of the Poland Seminary High School band participated in the Ohio Music Education Association District 5 Solo and Ensemble Adjudicated Event at Western Reserve High School Jan. 26.

The students performed solo or as members of a small ensemble for a judge and were given a rating of I-Superior, II-Excellent, III-Good, IV-Poor, V-Very Poor. Several students performed in more than one event.

Students receiving a rating of Superior were Stephanie Brink, Rebecca Dangerfield, Charlie Dwyer, Tyler Ford, Brenden Gage, Rachel Jeswald, Maria Katsadas, David Lankitus, Brendan McBride, Evan McCreary, Gabriella Mediati, Ryan Mrofchak, Juliana Patrick, Ann Riddle, Amber Rogers, Daniel Skoloda, Tyler Skoloda, Michael Toppi, Natalie Triveri and Austin Vogel.

Students receiving a rating of Excellent were Matt Baker, Nikki Ciavarella, Jessica Colucci, Justin Dill, Brandi Domkowski, Charlie Dwyer, Connor O’Kane, Spencer Oslin, Noah Reed and Claire Schneider.

Soloists were accompanied on the piano by Maryann Bush, Anthony Ruggiero, Paul Rossi, and Trudi Vetterly.
