Man struck with ax at West Side wrecking lot

YOUNGSTOWN

A man was struck in the head with an axe at Lou’s Auto Parts and Auto Wrecking, 1715 Waverly St. on the West Side, at about 6 this evening.

The man was taken to the hospital, but his injuries were not life-threatening, police said. No report was available later Friday night, and no other information was available, police said.
