Lowellville boil advisory extended to Saturday

Published: Fri, February 1, 2013 @ 11:13 p.m.

LOWELLVILLE

The precautionary boil water advisory for the village has been extended to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The advisory was issued by Aqua Ohio for Lowellville customers after a contractor struck the water main, which supplies the area. The break has been repaired, but officials are performing tests to confirm the water meets drinking-water standards. All water used for drinking, cooking and oral hygiene should be brought to a full boil for a minimum of one minute. It is not necessary to boil water for other uses.

Customers who have questions may check the status of the advisory at AquaAmerica.com or call the Aqua Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-877-987-2782.
