The Canfield High School boys recently won the team trophy at the 10th annual McKinley Lanes Martin Luther King Bowling Invitational Tournament held Monday at McKinley Lanes in Niles.
The Cardinals started off strong in the final two Baker games to overcome 15-pin deficit. The Canfield boys put together a strong nine-strike, 258 Baker game to finish with a 10-game score of 1,945 – 145 pins ahead of runner-up Hubbard.
“Once we threw three in a row, I knew we were going to throw the rest of them,” Andrew Letscher said. “The vibe of the team – it was there.”
