Ursuline gets $1 million gift

YOUNGSTOWN

Ursuline High School has received a gift $1 million from a alumnus and his wife.

The gift came from the Robert and Mary Ann Kaminski Family Foundation. Robert Kaminski is a 1954 Ursuline graduate and his wife, Mary Ann, is a Youngstown native who graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. The money went to the school’s financial assistance program and will create a permanent scholarship fund for needy single-parent families of students attending the school.

I agree that when you donate your 1 million you can decide how it is used if the school accepts it for that cause. But where is the high and might leadership that talks about family, marriage, etc. Could they refuse this tempt of money for this specific cause? Also what about a stipulation that says children born out of wedlock are not elligible for the scholarship? Or what about single parent family due to death of a parent being elligible? The Catholic Church is against fornication. They are also against contraceptives. Can't refuse the temp of the money but what about Catholic teachings?

Thank you cousin. And to you my friend citizen2014 Catholic teaching begins with the greatest commandment to love one another as Jesus loves us. Jesus also said "whatsoever you do to the least of these you do unto me". Time to grow up and get over your bitterness. I will pray for you. Bill J.
