Big-band revue celebrates 20 seasons, will come to Stambaugh Auditorium

In the Mood, the 1940s big band and swing dance musical revue, will come to Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Oct. 31 for a 3 p.m. show.

The brassy, song-and-dance show is celebrating its 20th season.

Tickets are $39, $34 and $29 and are available at the box office, by phone at 330-259-0555, and online at

Group discounts are available. A discount of $5 per ticket will be given to groups of eight or more, and $10 per ticket for groups of 16 or more.

In The Mood is more than a concert. It recreates defining moments in America with the String of Pearls big band orchestra, and the In the Mood Singers and Swing Dancers from New York.

The show also features choreography by Broadway veteran Alex Sanchez, sharp costumes and more than 50 hits from the era, including “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “In The Mood,” “On The Sunny Side of the Street,” “Over There” and many more.
