BOARDMAN — Ohio State Highway Patrol at Canfield is investigating a one-vehicle traffic accident at 3:58 p.m. today on Lockwood Boulevard, south of Shields Road, in which Jason A. Bartholomew, 31, was seriously injured.

The Canfield man, driving a 2002 GMC Sonoma, was traveling north on Lockwood when a tree fell on his vehicle, trapping him inside. Boardman Fire Department responded and removed the tree from the vehicle.

Bartholomew was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he was reported in stable condition late tonight.

Lockwood was closed overnight from Shields to Tippecanoe Road. Ohio Department of Transportation was scheduled to remove a second tree Tuesday morning.

This incident remains under investigation.
