Teachers union and Youngstown schools negotiate at 4 today

YOUNGSTOWN

Members of the Youngstown Education Association, the union representing city school teachers, and school district representatives will meet at 4 p.m. at the school board office for another round of contract negotiations. A news release from the YEA says that the union recognizes a need for shared sacrifice but says that members don’t want to go backwards.

What the Administration wants is ONLY teacher sacrifice. !7 million new dollars will be available for Karen Greene, Dougie Hiscox, and Retired/ Re-hired Connie to get 14% raises while the teachers will be able to collect food stamps soon!

Yes, give them more money! After all they made the top of the list of the worst schools in Ohio! Give them more money and praise. That's the very, very top of the worst list!
