Drivers beware: OVI checkpoint tonight in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN

A federally-funded operating a vehicle impaired checkpoint to detect and intercept alcohol-impaired drivers will be from 11 p.m. today to 3 a.m. Saturday on Mahoning Avenue here, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Mahoning County OVI Task Force announced.

They also announced that police from agencies participating in the task force will be conducting saturation patrols this weekend in various parts of the county to prevent alcohol-related crashes and the injury and death associated with them.
