ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will have a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Embassy, 5030 Youngstown-Poland Road, Boardman. Fred Ghossain will discuss Old World traditions of the Middle East, and a belly dance artist will entertain. Reservations must be received by Sept. 4. CLUBS

Mahoning Valley Cribbage Club will meet at noon Aug. 30 at St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. New players are welcome. For information call 330-793-6829.

Warren Women’s Connection is sponsoring a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. The cost is $13 per person; child care is free. The program will be a demonstration on mesh crafting. St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will host a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. There will be a live auction with auctioneer Marty Campana. SINGLES

D.A.R.E. Singles Group meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. Other activities scheduled are as follows: Monday, walking or biking at 6 p.m. on trail at Kirk Road in Canfield; Tuesday, play boccie at 6 p.m. in Boardman Park; Thursday, game night at 7:30 p.m. at church; and Friday, meet at the big rock at the Canfield Fair at 6 p.m.

SUPPORT GROUPS

All Care Hospice Grief Support Groups will meet monthly from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the fourth Wednesday at Pembrooke Place, 850 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown.

DBSA of Columbiana County, a support group offering peer support to those diagnosed with a mood disorder or who have a family member or friend who is diagnosed, meets as follows: Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Help Hotline Community Center, 1344 Fifth Ave., Youngstown; Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Carnegie Public Library, 219 E.
