Groups combine to provide new coats

Published: Mon, August 19, 2013 @ 8:16 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN

The Rotary Club of Youngstown is joining Operation Warm to raise $10,000 for new, high-quality winter coats to give to Youngstown’s Harding Elementary School students and children in need.

Operation Warm is a national charity that has provided new winter coats to more than one million children across North America in just over a decade.

Last year Youngstown Rotary raised $4,000 and provided 200 children with new coats. The club plans to provide at least 500 children with new coats this fall.

Every $20 contributed provides one child with a new winter coat.

A printable donation form is available at www.youngstownrotary.org or email info@youngstownrotary.org for information.

The Rotary Club of Youngstown meets at noon on Wednesdays for lunch at the YMCA, 17 N. Champion St.
