Joe Lamp'l of PBS visits Fellows Gardens

Joe Lamp’l, creator and host of PBS’ “Growing a Greener World,” will present an evening lecture titled “Greening Your Garden While Protecting the Planet” at 7 p.m. May 2 at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.

Lamp’l, a well-known gardener, educator and author, shares his knowledge through his books and syndicated column and as host of the popular series “Fresh from the Garden” on DIY network and “GardenSMART” on PBS.

A book signing will take place after the program.

Register to meet Lamp’l at a reception with appetizers, wine and beverages at 5:30 p.m. with the lecture at 7 for $25 for members of Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens or $30 for nonmembers, or to attend the lecture only with light refreshments for $15 for members or $20 for nonmembers.
