Girard RoboCats, Canfield Circuit Birds fare well at world robotics competition

Girard RoboCats advance to finals of World Competition but fall to Michigan and NH

ST. LOUIS, MO.

The RoboCats of Girard came out of the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) World Robotic Championship with one of the best performances the team has ever had, according to Coach Judy Barber.

The team faced teams from around the world, and made it into the divisional finals with an alliance of teams from Delaware and New Hampshire.

The RoboCats and their alliance were defeated by an alliance of teams from Michigan and New Hampshire.

Another local team competed in the world championship: Canfield’s Circuit Birds received the Rookie Inspiration Award for their division at the competition.
