Orthodox churches will mark Palm Sunday this weekend followed by Holy Week and Pascha (Easter.)

Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, 401 12th St., Campbell: Today, Saturday of Lazarus, Orthros and Divine Liturgy at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. and Great Vespers at 6 p.m.; Palm Sunday, Orthros at 8:30 a.m., Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. and bridegroom service at 7 p.m.; Holy Monday and Holy Tuesday, bridegroom services at 7 p.m.; Holy Wednesday, Holy Unction service at 6 p.m.; Holy Thursday, Vesperal Divine Liturgy (Institution of the Lord’s Supper) at 8 a.m. and Passion of Christ Service (12 Gospel readings) at 7 p.m.; Holy Friday, royal hours at 8 a.m., vespers of the unnailing at 3 p.m. and bright lamentations at 7 p.m.; Holy Saturday, May 4, vesperal Divine Liturgy at 8:30 a.m and Canon “Kymati thalasi” at 10:45 p.m.; and Easter Sunday, May 5, “Anastasi” Resurrection Orthros and Liturgy at midnight and agape vespers (Gospel read in several languages) at noon; and Bright Week of renewal, St. John the Theologian, Bright Wednesday, May 8, Paschal Orthros and Divine Liturgy at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. (No fasting all week but fasting resumes for May 15 and 17.

Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown: Holy Thursday, Vesperal Divine Liturgy at 6:30 p.m.; Great Friday, royal hours at noon and vespers with procession at 7 p.m.; Holy Saturday, May 4, blessing of Paschal food at 6 p.m. in the Orthodox Center; and Pascha Sunday, May 5, service of nocturnes, Paschal procession, matins and Divine Liturgy followed by blessing of artos, red Easter eggs and food baskets at 7 a.m.

Nativity of Christ Orthodox Church, 727 Miller St., Youngstown: Sunday, Divine Liturgy and blessing of palms and pussy willows at 10 a.m. followed by fish dinner and bridegroom service at 6 p.m.; Wednesday, Holy Unction service at 6 p.m.; Holy Thursday, Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m and reading of 12 Gospels at 6:30 p.m.; Friday, descent from the cross at 3 p.m., lamenetations and burial of Christ at 6:30 p.m.; May 4, Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. and Resurrection service and blessing of Paschal baskets at 10:30 p.m. followed by Paschal dinner (breaking the fast); and May 5, agape service at noon.
