ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will have a joint meeting with Warren AAUW at 10 a.m. May 4 in the Kidston Classroom at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown. After the meeting there will be a guided tour of the gardens and lunch at noon.

Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will have election of new officers at its May 14 meeting at the Saxon Club pavilion on Meridian Road, Austintown. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:30. The buffet comprises stuffed chicken breast, stuffed cabbage rolls, red skin parsley potatoes, Prince Edward vegetable blend, salad, rolls with butter, coffee, tea and dessert for $19. Southwest Neighborhood Association will have its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, 1590 Tod Ave SW, Warren. Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Landmark Restaurant, 7424 Market St., Boardman. Classmates and guests are welcome.

CLUBS

Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield for a noon lunch and business meeting. The program will be committee work and planning. Hostesses are Pat Soller and Kathryn Adams.

Poland Center Homemakers will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Struthers Plaza, then visit a member at Windsor House in New Middletown.

Round Table Woodcarvers meets every Thursday from 9 to 11:45 a.m. at the Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave. Youngstown. Visitors are welcome. For information call 330-792-4355 or 330-744-5071.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the rosary, and a meeting will follow.

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E. Singles Group meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. Other activities scheduled are as follows: Monday, meet at 7 p.m. at Dairy Queen in Cornersburg; Tuesday, dance classes at 7 p.m. at Judy Conti’s in Austintown; Thursday, new-member meeting at 7 p.m. at the church; Friday, meet in the lobby of Movies 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Shops at Boardman Park.

SOCIETIES

Hubbard Historical Society will sponsor a spring garage sale at Mageros Candies, 132 N. Main St., Hubbard, on May 3 and 4. In case of rain the sale will be extended to May 5. Donations for the sale will be accepted at Mageros during regular business hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. No clothing or furniture will be accepted. Donations may be tax-deductible. SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the library of the Children’s Rehabilitation Center, 855 Howland-Wilson Road, Warren. For information call 330-788-9755.

Man to Man, a prostate cancer support group, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Trumbull Memorial Hospital Medical Professional Building, 1353 E. Market St., Warren, in the cancer center waiting room. No registration is required. For information call 800-227-2345.

Nar-Anon, a 12-step program for relatives and friends who have been adversely affected by a loved one’s addiction to drugs, meets at 7 p.m. every Friday at Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 160 Clifton NE, Howland. For information call 330-856-3822.
