Prep Baseball results

Ursuline 6-3, Medina Highland 4-1


Anthony Rohan, Sam Donko and Harry Finelli each had two hits and an RBI for Ursuline in the opener Nick Revak (2-0) pitched the first 4 2/3 innings to get the win while Dion Felger closed it out with three strikeouts. Clay Condon and Bruce Kinsey each doubled for Highland. In the nightcap, Finelli allowed two hits over six innings to get the win for the Irish (8-0). He struck out five and added two hits. Luke Raley homered for Highland (8-5).

Cardinal Mooney 14, West Branch 12


Drew Delsignore’s three hits included a double for the Cardinals (5-4) at Cene Park. John Saadey had three hits and two RBIs while Drew Beck’s two hits included a triple. Also for Mooney, Christian Lowery had two hits and Dom Dundee doubled. For the Warriors (3-8), Kip DeShields’ three hits included a tripled and drove in two runs. Brenden Wells drove in three runs with three hits, Beau Taylor doubled and singled, and Ray Adams had three hits.

Canfield 5, Hudson 2


Tony Velasquez pitched a three-hitter with five strikeouts, giving up two unearned runs to hand Hudson its first loss at a Cancer Awareness Tournament game. Drew Turocy homered and drove in two for Canfield (4-8).

Niles 7, Lakeview 3


James Tate and Jake Foster each had two hits for the Red Dragons. Foster and Ifft each drove in two runs. For the Bulldogs, Chris Romano, Anthony Setner and Ethan Myers each drove in a run.

Mathews 3, Heartland Christian 0


Alex Bagaglia pitched a four-hit shutout with five strikeouts and a walk for Mathews in the first game. Aaron Suchanek and Mike Kennedy each had two hits. In the second game, Jeremy Forsythe got the win in relief, striking out five and walking one in four innings. Andy Morgan and Bryan Leipply each had two hits for the Mustangs (8-2), while Cobie Pratt had two RBIs. Phil Bell had two hits for Heartland.

Cin. Princeton 6, Champion 5


Joey Batcho doubled, scored two runs and drove in a run for Champion (4-4), while Brandon McFarland added two hits and a run. Ron Hall doubled, singled, scored a run and drove in a run for Princeton.
