Local high school Envirothon is Wednesday

CANFIELD

The Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District will host this year’s Northeast Ohio High School Envirothon, an academic, outdoor competition for students in grades nine through 12.

The theme this year is “Sustainable Rangeland Management: Achieving a balance between traditional agricultural uses with non-agricultural uses.”

The event will be Wednesday at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana Canfield Road.

The top four teams will compete at the Ohio Envirothon June 9-10 at Deer Creek State Park in Fayette County. For more information, call 330-740-7995.
