Film and video entries — including those for the two new categories of music videos and short films by high school students — are being accepted for the second annual Youngstown Film Festival Oct. 11-13.
Submissions for this year’s YFF can be mailed to YFF, PO Box 14103, Poland, OH 44514, Attn.: YFF2013 Submission.
There is no entry fee if submitted by June 1. Works submitted between June 1 and July 15 must include a $10 fee. Films will not be accepted after July 15.
Categories are: Documentary feature, documentary short, horror/sci-fi, experimental short, music video, ethnic heritage, working class, worst movie ever and Youth Cuts high school film competition.

The grand-prize winner will receive a cash award of $250.
Each finalist will receive $100.
New categories this year include music videos and Youth Cuts. Rules for Youth Cuts submissions are:
No more than 10 minutes in length.
Completed after June 1, 2012.
Entrants must not have graduated before spring 2013.
Narratives and documentaries, both live and animated, are acceptable.
Entries must have been filmed in the greater Youngstown area.
Four films will be selected as Youth Cuts finalists. All finalists will receive two festival passes.
