“Da Vinci’s Demons” (10 p.m., Starz): The new, eight-part drama series “Da Vinci’s Demons” springs from the mind of writer David S. Goyer (“Dark Knight Trilogy”). It’s a rollicking “historical fantasy” that chronicles the life of Leonardo da Vinci (Tom Riley) during his turbulent youth in Renaissance Florence.

Racetrack adds phone wagering
Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort is adding smartphone wagering accounts to its wagering system for live horse racing at Mountaineer and other tracks nationwide.
Mountaineer Mobile will begin today in the trackside grandstand. The new system allows guests to choose their tracks and place their wagers without waiting in line or leaving their seats. Accounts can be opened for the day or for the entire racing meet.
To open an account through a smartphone or tablet, visit the account wagering window and make a deposit. Money can be deposited or withdrawn from an account at any time.
Pastel artists exhibit at Trumbull gallery
An exhibition by the Pittsburgh Pastel Artists League will open with a reception at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trumbull Art Gallery, 196 E. Market St., and run through May 31.
Slavic YSU group plans fundraiser
The Youngstown State University Slavic Students Association will host a Slavic Jam Session fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at The Lemon Grove Cafe, 110 W. Federal St., downtown. The event will include live Tamburitza and concertina music. Slavic gift baskets will be raffled.
