Two Information Technology students from the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center are headed to Orlando to participate in the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference.
MCCTC BPA chapter members Devin Betsa and Joshua Eddy of Austintown earned their spot at the National Conference after competing at the state level and earning top awards. Betsa took first place in entrepreneur skills and Eddy received second place in advanced spreadsheet applications.
The two will join more than 5,000 other conference delegates from across the nation to participate in national level business skills competitions, workshops, general sessions and the national officer candidate campaigns and elections. The conference will be held May 8-12.
“The conference will be the culmination of a school years’ worth of IT and business skills, education and training,” said chapter adviser, Helen Slack, who teaches the Information Technology Support and Services program.
BPA is a national organization for high school, college and middle school students preparing for careers in business and information technology.
