Judge Dellick to address fundraiser for ACTION

ACTION will host its 11th annual community fundraiser and banquet at 5 p.m. May 2 at St. Luke Church banquet hall, 5235 South Ave.

The event by the Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods will feature Judge Theresa Dellick, Mahoning Count Court of Common Pleas Juvenile Division. Her topic will be “Working Together for a Safer Community.”

This year’s banquet will highlight the service of the Mahoning Valley Chiefs of Police. The Frances Kerpsack Humanitarian Award will be presented to the Mahoning County Habitat for Humanity and the organization’s executive director, Monica Craven, for service to the community.

The annual banquet is ACTION’s sole community fundraiser. Local residents are invited to support and celebrate the group’s initiatives in teducation, crime and safety, youth outreach and abandoned homes.

Tickets for the event are $35 per person, or $260 per table of eight people. All contributions are tax- deductible.
